Best YouTube Fitness channels
- Best fitness videos to watch
- Learn and enjoy fitness
The internet is a great place to learn new skills however it is saturated with poor content and misinformation. It's important, especially when starting fitness to know the facts.
Due to the self isolation phase, it means we have more time to plan ahead. If you've seen the latest RYPT vlog, then it's important to keep your mind active by learning. YouTube is a great way to learn and find what works better for you.
There are a couple of highly recommended YouTube channels that I follow. If you know about RYPT, you'll know I focus on mindset besides the physical aspect.
YouTube is a fantastic medium for consuming information. However, it can become a case of paralysis by analysis with so many different channels out there. Personally, I find the most interactive channels are the ones that are factual and have an entertaining element to them.
The three channels below are active, which means the post on a regular basis and also entertaining.
MattLovesFitness
I have only discovered this channel recently but it has a wealth of information. If you want to see what it's like to complete numerous fitness test events without any specific training, then this is a superb channel.
Naming a few of the videos, he completes the NFL combine training, the army entry test, and also CrossFit. It's not as easy as you would expect from a bodybuilder. These give a fascinating insight into the practical aspects of fitness and why specific training is only so useful.
Other videos including focusing on nutrition by trying to eat a certain amount of calories a day. By going to extremes one way or another, it is both entertaining and enlightening as to how various aspects of the fittest community live their lives.
Most eye-opening is the one about the model's diet. It is plain to see that the exercises and nutrition plan advocated by many media outlets are vastly inferior to a proper training plan.
The RYPT home training plan is now free and I guarantee will get better results!
Dax Moy
Dax is a person who I have referenced regularly in my blogs.
If you're seriously interested in changing your mindset and completely revolutionizing your outlook when it comes to fit this, then these videos are worth a watch.
They are not short videos, however they are in extreme depth and I guarantee it will change your outlook when it comes to enjoyment and fitness.
Interestingly, there is very little about exercises or the hands-on approach but it doesn't detract from the content.
It is clear to see why he is one of the elite coaches regarding mentality and wellbeing.
Dax is very intelligent and articulate with an amazing back story.
If you're looking at making a real change to your lifestyle then this is definitely the place to start. The main takeaway that he has taught me is how to do what you enjoy and simultaneously get results.
Eddie Hall
Despite being a strongman, Eddie has numerous learnings that are applicable to all fitness levels.
His workouts are engaging and diverse. Furthermore, his nutrition advice is applied and cuts through all the gimmicky nonsense available.
There is a superb documentary about him on Netflix. He really is an incredible person and anybody who can achieve the world record for deadlift is worth listening to.
His videos are also educational and humorous particularly the one where he swapped his diet for that of his wife.
His posts are regular and again engaging with the audience. Well worth a watch.
Fitness FAQs
This is a channel that I have only discovered lately. If you are looking for bitesize, educational and accessible videos about exercises then this is the place to go. For example, there is a 7-minute video on how to plank properly.
Videos like these may not be instantly as engaging but they do assist massively with preventing common errors in exercise.
Even if you dip into the exercises once in a while it is definitely a worthy task. Preventing errors and using correct form will mean you can achieve more in half the time besides preventing injury.
RYPT
Don't forget RYPT has a fitness channel with over a hundred videos. RYPT Fit has various exercises for you to try at home too.
Many of these have been filmed in the past and often after gaining an insight into particular aspects of mindset.
The aim was always to keep videos concise and factual. Punchy and thought provoking videos is the way that RYPT continues to assist with beginner and intermediate fitness levels.
