Summer Crash Course Fitness

  • Quickest Ways to get fit
  • Save time and money

It’s approaching that time of year when fitness becomes a priority again: summer holidays.

Gyms get busy again (although not to the same extent as January) and fitness fads start up again.

Often people are left perplexed by the amount of options available to get fit but it need not be difficult!

So if you’re in a rush to get in shape, what are the best ways to do it?

As a disclaimer I would note that leaving your health to the last minute is not the best option and that a sustainable, consistent exercise plan is much better than jumping head on into a routine.

If you need to get fit fast, it really comes down to the time that you can dedicate to a routine. Obviously it will be uncomfortable (physically and mentally) to adjust but focus on the positives and set realistic goals.

1) Running

One of the cheapest and quickest ways to get fit involves using what you already have….your legs.

Running is easily adaptable to your fitness goals and can be progressed at a comfortable speed.

Obviously doing too much too soon will have ramifications but a steadily progressive running plan (circa 10% increase each run) will stand you in good stead.

It is great for improving lung capacity, improving leg definition and also feeling great (see runners high!)

Progress becomes addictive but remember not to start by trying to run a 10k without any prior training.

2) Gym Plan

Also known as “toning”, which is a word I despise because we all have muscle it depends on how much we utilise it.

A well balanced gym plan will improve your physique but as always you need to know where to start.

Doing the right exercises, sets and repetitions will definitely help get faster progress and each session you should see a progression.

Enjoy the progress – even if it’s bodyweight exercises at home, the gym or wherever, the RYPT app can accommodate your needs in a personalised plan. You could WIN over £100 worth of fitness coaching all you need to do is visit the RYPT website (www.RYPT.info) now!

3) Nutrition

Although not exercise, what you put into your body will determine how motivated and energetic you feel.

Cutting down on sugar based foods and treats will instantly impact your wellbeing and make a change to your waistline.

Besides this drinking plenty water will give you an enormous boost by clearing toxins from the body!

Change a couple of caffeinated drinks / fizzy drinks for water and you’ll see improvements in no time.
